Description
Fluke DTX-SFM2 Fiber Module Repair and Calibration
The Fluke Networks DTX-SFM2 is a single-mode fiber test module set for the DTX CableAnalyzer — it adds OLTS (optical loss test set) capability, measuring insertion loss and length on single-mode fiber links to certify them to standard. As an optical measurement module, its faults are optical-source, detector, and connector faults.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Fluke DTX-SFM2 for fiber-optic installers and certification teams.
Common Fluke DTX-SFM2 problems we fix
- Optical source weak or unstable — laser-source degradation that throws off loss measurements, repaired.
- Loss/length readings out of spec — optical measurement drift, recalibrated against standards.
- Optical connector / port faults — damaged or contaminated connectors, serviced.
- Detector faults — the optical power detector, restored.
- Module won’t communicate with the mainframe — interface faults.
FAQs
My fiber loss readings look wrong — fixable? Yes. Source and detector faults are repairable, then the module is recalibrated so insertion-loss and length results are accurate to standard, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Do you service the optical connectors? Yes — connector and port service is part of the repair.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
