Status: 789 / 787B Current Production ā 773 Current Production
Overview
Fluke ProcessMeters combine a digital multimeter with a loop calibrator in a single handheld instrument, eliminating the need to carry separate tools for process instrumentation work. The 789 provides the most comprehensive feature set with mA source, simulate, and measure capability plus 24 V loop supply and HART compatibility. The 787B offers core mA sourcing and measurement with DMM functions. The 773 Process Clamp Meter adds non-contact 4ā20 mA measurement through a clamp jaw, enabling loop signal checking without breaking the loop. All models include standard DMM functions for voltage, resistance, continuity, and frequency measurement.

Common Fluke ProcessMeters Failures We Repair
- mA sourcing circuit drift causing out-of-tolerance loop calibrations
- Input protection circuit damage from voltage applied to mA terminals
- Rotary switch contact degradation from frequent function changes
- Battery compartment corrosion from field moisture
- LCD display segment failure
- 773: Clamp jaw alignment degradation affecting non-contact measurement
- 789: 24V loop supply voltage regulation drift
Our technicians perform component-level diagnostics on every Fluke ProcessMeters unit. We don’t just replace boards ā we identify and repair the specific failed components, saving you the cost of full module replacements when possible.
Calibration
Every Fluke ProcessMeters repair includes NIST-traceable calibration. We verify all measurement functions ā DC/AC voltage, DC/AC current, resistance, and any additional functions ā against our reference standards and provide a detailed calibration certificate documenting measured performance against the manufacturer’s published specifications.
