Description
Fluke A3003 DC Current Shunt Repair and Calibration
The Fluke A3003 is a precision DC current shunt / coil used with calibrators and meters — it extends DC current measurement and calibration to high currents by providing an accurate, stable current-to-voltage reference. As a precision current reference, its faults concentrate in the shunt element, the terminal/relay connections, and (on active versions) the communication interface.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Fluke A3003 for calibration labs and metrology teams.
Common Fluke A3003 problems we fix
- Relay-contact wear — switching contacts degrading so a range doesn’t connect correctly, repaired.
- Communication faults — the interface to the host calibrator/system, restored.
- Shunt value out of spec — the shunt element drifting, recalibrated against standards.
- Terminal / connection faults — the high-current connections, serviced.
- Intermittent reading — connection faults, repaired.
FAQs
My A3003 reads the wrong value or won’t switch — fixable? Yes. Relay and shunt faults are repairable, then the shunt is recalibrated so its current-to-voltage transfer is accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Is the shunt value verified? Yes — checked against our reference standards.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
