The Fluke 6100A is a power quality calibrator – rather than producing clean signals, it deliberately generates distorted ones: harmonics, flicker, dips, swells and unbalance, so power quality analyzers can be verified against known disturbances. Producing a precisely wrong waveform is harder than producing a clean one, and the waveform synthesis is where these units need attention.
