Description
Fluke 717-3000G Pressure Calibrator Repair
The Fluke 717-3000G is a single-range loop calibrator: it reads pressure from one internal sensor while simultaneously measuring or sourcing the 4-20 mA loop, so a technician can verify a transmitter end to end with one instrument. It carries no pump – pressure comes from an external hand pump or bench source. At 3000 psi the seals, ports and fittings carry real stress, so leaks and thread damage show up here long before the sensor itself drifts.
The Fluke 717-3000G is repaired at June Company by certified technicians who work on this class of instrument daily, for instrument technicians, process plant calibration teams, and field service engineers. Every instrument is repaired at component level and verified against reference standards before it ships back, with the measured results documented.
Common Fluke 717-3000G problems we fix
- mA loop measurement inaccurate – the current-measurement path, repaired and verified against a reference.
- 24V loop supply not driving the transmitter – the internal loop power supply.
- Zero will not hold – the unit reading offset with the port open to atmosphere.
- Damaged pressure port or fitting – cross-threaded or over-torqued connections that will not seal.
- Display, keypad and battery faults.
- Pressure readings drifted out of tolerance – sensor drift, the fault that quietly invalidates every verification done since it started.
FAQs
Do you repair the mA loop side as well as the pressure side? Both. The loop measurement and 24V supply are as important as the sensor on this instrument, and we test both.
What if it turns out not to be worth repairing? We tell you that in the quote. The evaluation costs nothing and there is no obligation to proceed.
Every repair carries a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty, with a firm quote before any work begins. Email us or submit a service request.
