Description

Fluke 190-202-III Scopemeter Repair

The Fluke 190-202-III is a ScopeMeter Test Tool from the 190 series – the line built around independently isolated inputs. Each channel floats separately, which is the entire reason these instruments get bought for motor drives, power electronics and three-phase work where two probes sharing a ground would short something expensive together. This model is the 200 MHz, two-channel configuration, so its front-end and timebase are specified accordingly and are verified to that bandwidth after repair.

Certified technicians at June Company service the Fluke 190-202-III for field service engineers, drive and motor technicians, power electronics engineers, and industrial maintenance teams. Every instrument is repaired at component level and verified against reference standards before it ships back, with the measured results documented.

Common Fluke 190-202-III problems we fix

  • Measurements drifted out of tolerance – the measurement path, corrected and verified against reference standards.
  • Ruggedized case seals and connectors damaged.
  • Isolation between channels compromised – the fault specific to this series and the most important one to catch – a 190 with a degraded isolation barrier still displays waveforms perfectly while no longer being safe for the floating measurements it was bought for.
  • Channel dead, noisy, or reading inaccurately – input front-end damage, almost always from an over-range or transient input, repaired at component level and the channel re-verified.
  • Waveform will not trigger or hold steady – the trigger circuit, which is what turns a scope into an unusable one while every other function still appears to work.
  • Display failure – blank, dim, or degraded LCD – on the older ScopeMeters this often shows as banding or a faded center before it fails outright.
  • Will not power on or hold charge – the battery pack and the charging circuit, tested separately since either can present as a dead instrument.
  • Keypad or rotary control unresponsive.

FAQs

Are the measurements verified after repair? Yes, against reference standards, with the measured results documented and returned with the instrument.

How do I know the input isolation is still intact? You cannot tell from the screen, which is the danger – a unit with degraded isolation looks completely normal. We test the barrier directly as part of every 190-series repair.

Every repair carries a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty, with a firm quote before any work begins. Email us or submit a service request.

Shipping & Returns

Packing your equipment. You are responsible for packaging equipment adequately for transit. We strongly recommend the original manufacturer’s case, or double-boxing with at least two inches of shock-absorbing material on all six sides. We return your equipment in the packaging it arrived in, so please send it in packaging that will survive the return trip as well. If your packaging is damaged or inadequate for the return, we will substitute suitable packaging and may charge the cost of materials.

Insurance. Equipment is not insured by June Company while in transit. We strongly recommend insuring your shipment for its full replacement value.

Risk of loss. Risk of loss remains with you until your equipment is received at our facility, and transfers back to you when your repaired unit is delivered to the carrier (F.O.B. shipping point). June Company is not responsible for equipment lost, delayed, misdelivered, or damaged in transit, in either direction.

Return label. A prepaid and preprinted return shipping label should be included with your shipment. If one is not included, we will provide one.

Transit damage. Damage occurring in transit is the responsibility of the carrier. It is not a warranty defect and is not covered by the 90-day repair warranty. Any claim must be filed by you with the carrier; we will supply photographs and documentation to support it at no charge.
