Description
Keysight N5290A Network Analyzer Repair and Calibration
The Keysight N5290A is a broadband network analyzer system covering to ~110 GHz — a PNA-based VNA with external frequency-extension/test-set hardware for millimeter-wave S-parameter measurement on components and devices. As a precision mmWave instrument, its faults concentrate in the source and receiver chains, the frequency-extender/test-set modules, the test ports, and the synthesizer/reference.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Keysight N5290A for mmWave and microwave engineering and component-test teams.
Common Keysight N5290A problems we fix
- Test-port reconditioning — worn or damaged mmWave ports degrading accuracy, reconditioned.
- Source / receiver chain repair — no or weak measurement through the extenders, restored.
- Frequency-extender / test-set faults — an extension module not working, repaired.
- Calibration won’t hold — directivity/match faults, tracked down.
- Synthesizer / reference faults — source drift or unlock, repaired and recalibrated.
FAQs
My N5290A cal won’t hold or an extender is off — fixable? Yes. Receiver, extender, and port faults are repairable and recalibrated, then verified so mmWave S-parameter measurement is stable and accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Are the ports serviceable? Yes — port reconditioning is routine.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
