Description
Megger MIT30 Insulation Tester Repair
The Megger MIT30 is a 30 kV insulation resistance tester — a high-voltage megohmmeter that applies test voltages up to 30 kV and measures very high insulation resistance with diagnostic tests (PI/DAR, step/ramp) for cables, machines, and high-voltage apparatus. The hardworking part is the high-voltage generator, so that’s where most faults originate.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Megger MIT30 for HV cable, machine, and apparatus test teams.
Common Megger MIT30 problems we fix
- HV generator faults — won’t reach the selected test voltage or output is low, repaired so it hits full 30 kV.
- Display issues — blank, dim, or erratic display, repaired.
- Measurement drift — insulation-resistance readings drifting, recalibrated against standards.
- Diagnostic tests not calculating — PI/DAR or step/ramp functions, restored.
- Guard-circuit or terminal faults — repaired.
FAQs
My MIT30 won’t reach 30 kV — fixable? Yes. HV generator faults are the usual cause and they’re repairable, then verified so the tester delivers full rated voltage and your readings are valid, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Are the diagnostic ratios verified? Yes — PI/DAR and step/ramp are checked along with recalibration.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
