Description
Megger IDAX300 Diagnostic Analyzer Repair
The IDAX300 is an insulation diagnostic analyzer that uses Dielectric Frequency Response (DFR / FDS) — sweeping frequency to assess moisture content and insulation condition in transformer windings and bushings. It’s a precision measurement instrument, not a power source, so its faults are accuracy and measurement-path faults: the thing that matters is the integrity of its low-level dielectric-response measurement.
June Company repairs and calibrates the IDAX300 for transformer diagnostic teams and testing labs running moisture and insulation assessments.
Common IDAX300 problems we fix
- DFR sweep won’t complete or gives bad data — measurement-circuit or signal-generation faults that corrupt the frequency response, repaired so sweeps run and the moisture analysis is reliable.
- Step-voltage or DAR functions off — the diagnostic measurement modes drifting out of spec, recalibrated against standards.
- Capacitance/tan-delta readings inaccurate — precision measurement drift, corrected so condition assessment is trustworthy.
- Won’t connect to the analysis software — interface faults that stop data transfer to the PC.
- Display or control faults.
FAQs
My DFR results look wrong — can you fix it? Yes. Bad DFR data points to the measurement or signal path; both are repairable, then verified so your moisture and insulation diagnostics are accurate again.
Do you provide calibration documentation? Yes — recalibrated against our reference standards with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
