Hipotronics OC60E Oil Tester Repair
The OC60E is a 60 kV automatic oil dielectric tester — the updated-electronics revision of the OC60D, doing the same job of measuring insulating-oil breakdown voltage with refreshed control and display hardware. Faults split between the HV/test-cell side and the newer control electronics.
June Company repairs and calibrates the OC60E for oil-testing labs and utility insulation programs.
Common OC60E problems we fix
- HV transformer refurbishment — output low or unstable from repeated breakdowns, rebuilt for accurate ramping to 60 kV.
- Electrode replacement — eroded electrodes causing inconsistent breakdown, replaced for repeatable results.
- Test-cell cleaning and seal service — contamination or leakage, addressed.
- Control-board faults — the updated electronics not sequencing or displaying correctly.
- Voltage regulation drift — recalibrated to standard.
FAQs
My OC60E gives erratic results — repairable? Yes. Usually it’s electrode erosion or the HV section; we service both and recalibrate so results repeat to your test method, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Do you handle the newer control electronics? Yes — the OC60E control board and display are serviced along with the HV side.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
