Description
Hipotronics OC90D Oil Tester Repair
The OC90D is the 90 kV member of the Hipotronics OC oil-tester line — a higher-voltage automatic dielectric breakdown tester for insulating fluids that require testing above the 60 kV range. The extra voltage means the HV section works harder, and that’s where most OC90D faults originate.
June Company repairs and calibrates the OC90D for oil-testing labs running higher-voltage breakdown methods.
Common OC90D problems we fix
- Won’t reach 90 kV or collapses under test — HV transformer degradation, the defining OC90D fault, rebuilt for stable full-voltage output.
- Scattered breakdown results — electrode erosion from arcing, electrodes serviced for repeatable readings.
- Voltage regulation drift — output out of tolerance, recalibrated.
- Cell leakage or stirrer failure — mechanical test-cell service.
- Control or display faults.
FAQs
My OC90D won’t hold 90 kV — fixable? Yes. HV transformer rebuilds are routine on these; we restore full rated output and recalibrate, documented with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Do you service the test cell too? Yes — electrodes, seals, and stirrer are serviced so results are repeatable.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
