Description
Fluke 1630-2 Calibration
The Fluke 1630-2 is an earth ground tester. These are calibrated across their resistance ranges, and on the stakeless and clamp-on models the verification also has to cover the induced-current measurement, which is a different mechanism from the three-pole fall-of-potential method and drifts independently of it.
The Fluke 1630-2 is calibrated at June Company for electrical contractors, utility crews, lightning protection installers, and inspection teams. Every point is measured against reference standards, with as-found readings recorded before any adjustment and as-left readings afterwards, so you can see what condition the instrument was actually in when it arrived.
What we verify on the Fluke 1630-2
- Jaw alignment on clamp-on models.
- Earth resistance across all ranges.
- Stakeless or clamp-on measurement where fitted – a separate mechanism that can drift while the staked measurement stays accurate.
- Soil resistivity measurement where fitted.
- Auxiliary electrode resistance detection.
- Voltage and continuity functions.
FAQs
How long does calibration take? Most are completed in 5-10 business days. If we find a fault that calibration cannot correct, we quote the repair before doing anything further.
Is the calibration traceable? Yes. Every point is measured against reference standards and the results are documented and returned with the instrument.
Calibration is documented and returned with the instrument. If we find a fault that calibration cannot correct, we quote the repair before going any further. Email us or submit a service request.
