Description
Associated Research 5321A Hipot Tester Repair and Calibration
The Associated Research 5321A is an electrical safety / hipot tester — it performs dielectric-withstand (hipot) and related safety tests for production compliance, applying high voltage and measuring leakage current to pass/fail products, with a safety interlock. It combines an HV source with leakage metering, so faults span both sides — not the power-supply output faults its category label implies.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Associated Research 5321A for production safety-test and QC teams.
Common Associated Research 5321A problems we fix
- Remote-sense / interface faults — the remote-sense or control interface not working, repaired.
- Leakage-current measurement off — the metering your hipot pass/fail depends on, recalibrated against standards.
- Won’t reach test voltage or trips — HV output-stage faults, rebuilt for stable rated output.
- Safety-interlock malfunctions — the interlock not energizing or tripping wrongly, repaired without compromising safety.
- Display or control faults.
FAQs
My 5321A leakage reading is off — fixable? Yes, and it’s the critical hipot repair. We recalibrate the leakage metering against our standards so the number you certify against is accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Is the HV output verified? Yes — output is checked along with the metering.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
