The 72DL PLUS is the precision end of the Evident thickness range, driving single-element transducers up to 125 MHz on the high-frequency model to measure material as thin as 0.0127 mm and to display up to six individual layers at once in multilayer paint and coatings. It runs measurement rates to 2 kHz with a 60 Hz display update behind a 7 in. WVGA touchscreen, in an IP65 body. Working at those frequencies is what makes it capable and what makes it unforgiving: signal quality a corrosion gauge would shrug off is the difference between resolving six layers and resolving one.
