Description
Megger FREJA 300 Relay Tester Repair
The FREJA 300 is the established three-phase relay test system that the FREJA 400 succeeded — still in heavy service across utilities because it’s rugged and does the job. As an older PC-driven set, the faults we see are aging faults: output modules that have logged thousands of test cycles and interface hardware showing its years.
June Company repairs and calibrates the FREJA 300 for protection crews who’d rather keep a proven set running than replace it.
Common FREJA 300 problems we fix
- Amplifier channel weak or dead — output-stage aging after years of service, rebuilt at the component level so all phases meet rated current and voltage.
- Communication with FREJA Win lost — older USB/serial interface hardware failing; repaired or its interface board serviced so automated testing works again.
- Output drifts out of spec — reference and regulation drift on an aging unit, recalibrated to specification.
- Intermittent operation — connector and solder-joint fatigue from years of transport, tracked down and repaired.
- Won’t power up reliably — power-supply section degradation.
FAQs
It’s an older unit — still worth repairing? Yes. The FREJA 300 is a rugged, capable set, and a repair keeps a proven instrument in service for a fraction of replacement cost. Many have decades of life left.
Can you still calibrate it to spec? Yes — recalibrated against our reference standards with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
