Megger STVI Handheld Controller Repair
The Megger STVI (Smart Touch View Interface) is the handheld touchscreen controller for Megger’s SMRT relay test sets — it drives the test set, runs test routines, and displays results, so a fault in the STVI can sideline an otherwise-good relay test set. As a touchscreen control unit, its faults are display/touch, connection, and control faults.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Megger STVI for relay technicians and protection crews.
Common Megger STVI problems we fix
- Touchscreen unresponsive or display failure — the most common STVI complaint; the touch panel or LCD repaired so it controls the test set again.
- Won’t connect to the SMRT set — the cable/interface between STVI and test set, repaired.
- Phase-angle or readout errors — control/measurement-readback faults, corrected and verified with the test set.
- Won’t boot or freezes — control-board faults, repaired.
- Connector or housing damage — from field use.

My STVI touchscreen is dead — is my SMRT set still usable? Once the STVI is repaired, yes — we fix the touch/display and verify it controls the test set correctly. Display repair is routine and far cheaper than replacement.
Do you test it with the SMRT set? Yes — we verify the STVI drives the relay test set correctly, with documented results.
