Description
ALE 402L-20kV-POS Power Supply Repair
The ALE 402L-20kV-POS Power Supply is a programmable power supply – it holds a commanded voltage or current under whatever load the device under test presents, and switches between constant-voltage and constant-current regulation as that load changes. The output stage does the work, and it is where the heat and the wear concentrate.
June Company repairs and calibrates the ALE 402L-20kV-POS Power Supply for test engineers, production test departments, R&D laboratories, and equipment manufacturers. Every instrument is repaired at component level and verified against reference standards before it ships back, with the measured results documented.
Common ALE 402L-20kV-POS Power Supply problems we fix
- Output relay not switching.
- Cooling fan or thermal shutdown.
- Internal power supply faults.
- GPIB, LAN, USB or remote-control faults – which breaks automated test sequences while the instrument still works from the front panel.
- Display, keypad or front-panel faults.
- Output voltage or current out of tolerance under load – a supply can read correct on its own display while delivering something else to the load – readback and actual output are separate circuits and they drift separately.
- Will not regulate, or oscillates between CV and CC.
- Excessive ripple or noise on the output – invisible on the front panel and capable of corrupting whatever is being powered.
- Output stage or pass-element failure.
- Current limit not holding at the set value.
FAQs
Output is unstable under a changing load. Repairable? Yes. That usually points at the regulation loop or the CV/CC crossover rather than the output devices themselves.
