Description
Megger SMRT36 Relay Test Set Repair
The Megger SMRT36 is a multi-phase protective-relay test set — it generates precise voltages, currents, and phase angles (up to six current channels) to test and commission protective relays and schemes in substations. As a high-precision multi-phase test source, its faults split between the amplifier/output side and the timing/control side.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Megger SMRT36 for protection engineers and relay-test crews.
Common Megger SMRT36 problems we fix
- A voltage or current channel weak/dead — amplifier output-stage failure, repaired so every channel meets rated output.
- Timing / trip-time drift — the timing reference drifting, recalibrated against standards.
- Phase-angle accuracy off — the phase reference, corrected.
- STVI / control faults — won’t connect to or drive from the controller, repaired.
- Display, control, or power faults.
FAQs
One of my SMRT36 channels is down — fixable? Yes. Amplifier output-stage failure is a common fault and it’s repairable, then all channels are verified against our standards with NIST-traceable calibration.
Is timing accuracy verified? Yes — timing and phase are checked and certified.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
