Description
Associated Research 7820 Compliance Tester Repair
The Associated Research 7820 is an electrical safety compliance tester — it performs dielectric-withstand (hipot) and insulation-resistance testing for production safety compliance, applying high voltage and measuring leakage current to pass/fail products to standard. It combines an HV source with precision leakage metering, so faults span both the HV output and the measurement side.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Associated Research 7820 for production safety-test and QC teams.
Common Associated Research 7820 problems we fix
- Won’t reach test voltage or output unstable — HV output-stage failure, rebuilt for stable rated output.
- Leakage-current reading off — the metering your pass/fail depends on, recalibrated against standards.
- Insulation-resistance function faulty — the IR measurement, restored.
- Interlock or control faults — won’t energize or trips immediately.
- Display or interface faults.
FAQs
My 7820 leakage reading is off — fixable? Yes, and it’s the critical hipot repair. We recalibrate the leakage metering against our standards so the number you certify against is accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Is the HV output verified? Yes — output is checked along with the metering.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
