Description

Rigaku Progeny ResQ FLX Raman Analyzer Repair

The Progeny ResQ FLX is the narcotics-focused member of the ResQ family, a handheld 1064 nm Raman analyzer whose library is built around the latest fentanyl and opioid formulations. It identifies through packaging in under a minute, which is a safety feature rather than a convenience: the operator never opens a container holding a substance that is dangerous to handle. Results are date and time-stamped with digital signature support, and Wi-Fi and smartphone pairing move them off the instrument quickly.

June Company’s certified technicians repair the Progeny ResQ FLX for law enforcement agencies, narcotics units, customs and border agencies, forensic laboratories and first responders. We diagnose and repair at the board and component level, and every instrument is functionally verified before it ships back.

Common Progeny ResQ FLX problems we fix

  • 1064 nm laser faults — output falling, which weakens identification confidence on exactly the substances this unit exists to find.
  • Detector and spectrograph faults — sensitivity loss or noise reducing match quality against the narcotics library.
  • Detector cooling faults — cooling performance dropping and raising the noise floor.
  • Wavelength calibration drift — spectral shift producing misidentification, which carries more consequence here than on most instruments.
  • Sampling window and optics faults — scratched or contaminated windows reducing signal through packaging.
  • Wireless and pairing faults — Wi-Fi or smartphone pairing failing, which breaks the evidence transfer workflow.
  • Camera faults — the onboard camera not capturing or attaching images to reports.
  • Battery and charging faults — runtime falling short during extended field operations.
  • Library and reporting faults — the narcotics library not loading, or signed reports failing to export.
  • Housing and seal damage — enclosure and seal failure after field deployment.

FAQs

Can you update or restore the narcotics library? Library content comes from Rigaku, and we preserve what is on the instrument through a repair. If work would affect it we tell you before starting.

Does a repair affect chain-of-custody records on the unit? We preserve stored results and signature capability. Where a board replacement would affect them we flag it first, because those records may be evidence.

Do you service the standard ResQ and other Rigaku handhelds? Yes, including the ResQ, Progeny, CQL and Icon-X instruments.

Every repair is backed by a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty, with a firm quote before any work begins. Email us or submit a service request.
