Description
Hipotronics OC60D Oil Tester Repair
The OC60D is a 60 kV automatic insulating-oil dielectric breakdown tester — it fills a test cell, applies rising high voltage, and records the breakdown voltage to grade transformer oil and insulating fluids. As an HV test-cell instrument, its faults concentrate in the HV transformer, the electrodes/test cell, and the control electronics that run the sequence.
June Company repairs and calibrates the OC60D for oil-testing labs and transformer-maintenance programs.
Common OC60D problems we fix
- Won’t reach 60 kV or output unstable — HV transformer degradation from repeated breakdown events, repaired so it ramps to full voltage accurately.
- Inconsistent breakdown readings — electrode erosion from cumulative arcing scattering results, electrodes serviced for repeatable values.
- Voltage out of tolerance — regulation drift, recalibrated to standard.
- Test-cell leakage or stirrer faults — cell seal and stirring-motor service.
- Control/sequence or display faults.
FAQs
My breakdown numbers are scattered — repairable? Yes. That usually points to electrode erosion or the HV section; we service both and recalibrate so results repeat to your ASTM D877/D1816 or IEC 60156 method.
Is the output voltage certified? Yes — verified against our reference standards with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
