Svantek SV 104A Noise Dosimeter Repair
The Svantek SV 104A is a personal noise dosimeter — a body-worn instrument with an integrated microphone that measures and logs a worker’s noise exposure (dose, time-weighted average, peak) over a shift for occupational-noise compliance. As a worn acoustic instrument, its faults concentrate in the integrated microphone/MEMS sensor, the measurement electronics, the display/controls, and the battery.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Svantek SV 104A for occupational-hygiene and safety teams.
Common Svantek SV 104A problems we fix
- Noise-dose / measurement out of spec — measurement drift affecting dose and TWA, recalibrated against acoustic standards (so OSHA/ISO results are valid).
- Microphone / sensor faults — a damaged or drifting microphone skewing levels, repaired or replaced.
- Logging / data faults — the recording/memory not storing exposure data, repaired.
- Display or control faults — repaired.
- Won’t power on or hold a charge — battery/power faults.
FAQs
My SV 104A dose readings look wrong — fixable? Yes. Microphone and measurement faults are repairable, then the dosimeter is recalibrated so noise-dose and exposure results are accurate, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Is the microphone verified? Yes — the mic and measurement are checked against our acoustic standards.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
