Description
Evident BondMaster 600 Bond Tester Repair
The BondMaster 600 is the multimode composite bond tester built around pitch-catch RF, pitch-catch impulse, pitch-catch swept, resonance and an improved mechanical impedance analysis mode covering 2 kHz to 50 kHz. It runs a 5.7 inch VGA screen, stores up to 500 program and data files and gives up to nine hours of battery life, in Basic and Multimode configurations. Because it is the instrument that decides whether a composite structure is sound, a drifting instrument is a worse problem than a dead one.
June Company’s certified technicians repair the BondMaster 600 for aerospace inspection teams, composite repair shops, MRO facilities and structural NDT groups. We diagnose and repair at the board and component level, and every instrument is functionally verified before it ships back.
Common BondMaster 600 problems we fix
- MIA mode faults — mechanical impedance analysis becoming unreliable across the 2 kHz to 50 kHz range, which is the mode most often relied on.
- Pitch-catch drive and receive faults — RF, impulse and swept modes losing sensitivity or producing inconsistent signals.
- Resonance mode faults — resonance probes not driving correctly, or readings failing to repeat on a known reference standard.
- Probe connector faults — worn connectors producing intermittent signals that look like probe failures.
- Display faults — dim, dead or distorted panels on the 5.7 inch VGA screen.
- Battery and charging faults — runtime falling well short of the rated nine hours.
- Keypad and control wear — controls becoming unreliable after sustained use in hangars and shops.
- Data storage faults — setups and results not saving, or the 500-file store becoming corrupted.
- Calibration drift — the instrument no longer matching reference standards, which quietly changes inspection outcomes.
- Housing damage — cracked enclosures and failed seals after drops in a working hangar.
FAQs
It still powers up but readings do not repeat. Is that repairable? Yes, and it is the most common reason a BondMaster comes to us. Drift is usually drive circuitry or connectors rather than anything structural. We verify against reference standards before return.
Do you test all the inspection modes? Yes, every mode the instrument is configured for, including MIA and all three pitch-catch modes. A repair that only fixes one mode is not a repair.
Do you handle the Basic and Multimode versions? Both.
Every repair is backed by a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty, with a firm quote before any work begins. Email us or submit a service request.
