Description
Chroma 61800 AC Power Supply Repair
The Chroma 61800 is a regenerative grid-simulating AC power source — it generates programmable AC (and can emulate grid disturbances) while regenerating energy back to the grid, for testing inverters, EV chargers, and grid-tied equipment. As a high-power regenerative AC system, its faults concentrate in the power stage, the regenerative/control electronics, and waveform generation.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Chroma 61800 for grid-tie, inverter, and EV test labs.
Common Chroma 61800 problems we fix
- Output won’t reach setpoint — power-stage failure, rebuilt so it sources programmed voltage, frequency, and current.
- Regenerative / bidirectional faults — the power electronics that return energy to the grid, repaired.
- Waveform or grid-emulation off — waveform-generation faults corrupting test profiles, corrected.
- Measurement/regulation drift — recalibrated against standards.
- Cooling or control-interface faults.
FAQs
My 61800 won’t emulate grid conditions correctly — fixable? Yes. Waveform and power-stage faults are repairable, then verified so it reproduces AC and grid profiles accurately, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Is the regenerative mode verified? Yes — source and regeneration are both checked.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
