Overview
The HVI PTS Series DC hipot testers are designed for high-voltage DC dielectric withstand testing of cables, switchgear, transformers, and other electrical apparatus. Voltage ratings range from 15 kVDC to 600 kVDC. PTS units provide a continuously variable DC output with precision metering for voltage and leakage current. The F-suffix models add additional filtration for smoother DC output, critical for accurate leakage current measurement on capacitive loads like cables. PTS testers are widely used by electric utilities, cable testing contractors, and industrial maintenance programs for acceptance and maintenance testing per IEEE and NETA standards.
