Description
Chroma 6312A Mainframe Repair and Calibration
The Chroma 6312A is a DC electronic load mainframe — it houses multiple Chroma load modules and provides their power, control, measurement, and communications, forming a multi-channel load system for testing power supplies and batteries. As the host chassis, its faults are power, control-bus, communications, and measurement-backbone faults rather than the load-sinking faults of the modules themselves.
June Company repairs and calibrates the Chroma 6312A mainframe for power-supply and battery test teams.
Common Chroma 6312A problems we fix
- Won’t power up or power-distribution faults — the mainframe power supply that feeds the modules, repaired.
- Modules not recognized — control-bus / backplane faults that stop the mainframe seeing installed modules, restored.
- Communication/programming faults — the remote interface (GPIB/USB/LAN), repaired.
- Measurement/readback errors — the measurement backbone, recalibrated.
- Display or control faults.
FAQs
My mainframe won’t see its modules — fixable? Yes. That points to the backplane/control bus or mainframe power; we repair it so installed modules are recognized and controlled, verified with the modules and a NIST-traceable certificate.
Do you test it with modules installed? Yes — the mainframe is verified as a working system.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
