Description
Baur PGK 110 HB High Voltage Tester Repair
The Baur PGK 110 HB is a 110 kV VLF cable test set — the higher-voltage member of the PGK line, used to withstand-test and diagnose higher-class medium- and sub-transmission-voltage cable at 0.1 Hz. The added voltage means the HV output stage works harder, and that’s where most faults originate.
June Company repairs and calibrates the PGK 110 HB for cable contractors and utilities on higher-voltage cable.
Common PGK 110 HB problems we fix
- Battery / power-pack issues — won’t power up or hold a charge on the portable HV unit, serviced.
- Won’t reach 110 kV or collapses — HV output-stage failure, often post-flashover, rebuilt for full output.
- Waveform distorted or unstable — regulation degradation on the 0.1 Hz output, repaired.
- Metering drift — voltage/leakage measurement recalibrated.
- Internal HV arcing or interlock faults.
FAQs
My PGK 110 won’t power up — fixable? Yes. Battery and power-section faults are routine; we service them and verify the unit runs and delivers full 110 kV VLF output.
Is the output certified? Yes — voltage and frequency verified with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
