Description
AEMC 1050 Megohmmeter Repair
The AEMC 1050 is a high-voltage insulation resistance tester (megohmmeter) — it applies test voltages (to ~5 kV) and measures insulation resistance into the high-resistance range, with timed diagnostic tests for motor, cable, and transformer insulation. The hardworking part is the high-voltage generator, so that’s where most faults originate.
June Company repairs and calibrates the AEMC 1050 for electrical maintenance crews, motor shops, and testing labs.
Common AEMC 1050 problems we fix
- HV generator rebuild — won’t reach the selected test voltage or output is low, rebuilt so it hits full rated voltage.
- Measurement-amplifier recalibration — resistance readings drifting or unstable, recalibrated against standards.
- Range-switch repair — intermittent voltage/range selection from contact wear.
- Timed-test functions not calculating — the diagnostic ratios, restored.
- Display, battery, or interface faults.
FAQs
My 1050 won’t reach test voltage — fixable? Yes. HV generator faults are the usual cause and they’re repairable, then verified so the tester delivers full rated voltage and your readings are valid, with a NIST-traceable certificate.
Do the diagnostic tests get verified? Yes — along with recalibration.
Every repair includes NIST-traceable calibration and a 90-day parts-and-labor warranty. Email us or submit a service request.
